**Complete cylinder head, assembled and ready to bolt to a short block**

All cylinder head cores are stripped down to the bare bones, then jet washed, hot tanked in an aluminum safe chemically agitated/heated cleaning solution.  This process cleans all of the oil and coolant galleries of any residual material.  They are then machined and jet washed then rinsed again to ensure any and all metal removed during the machining process is removed.

In a STAGE 3 cylinder head, we do everything we do with the stage 2 head and more.  The Stage 3 head includes stiffer valve springs and retainers to keep up with the additional back pressure created during high boost.  Neglecting to do this often results in dropped valves, lifter shims popping out, valve float, and other serious concerns.  If any of the aforementioned conditions occurs, your best scenario is low power.  The most likely result is going to be the catastrophic failure of the engine when it's at 8500RPM and making 600whp - As you would imagine, that could be incredibly destructive.

Where the STAGE 3 Head differs from the STAGE 2, is in it's ability to flow a LOT more air.  The exhaust ports are exceptionally restrictive.  We remove the "bump" at the outlet of the port, as well as the sharp radius edge as the port reaches the valve.  The entire port is widened, and blended into the bowls.  The Intake side receives a similar treatment.

We machine the valve seats to accept larger valved (+1mm).  The bowl size is blended into the port.  The Intake port divider is knife edged to increase flow and reduce turbulence at the port. 

We also know that you're going to want to run some high lift cams - and in case you didn't know, when you get into the 10mm+ range, the lobes of the cams actually interfere with the outside of the lifter bore.  Some shops will grind it away, we mill them down and then hone the lifter bores to promote oil retention as well as remove sharp edges left over from the milling process. 

We also chamfer the radius on the quench pad to reduce hot spots in the combustion chamber, as well as offer to remove the quench pads should you need that done as well (Typical in very high compression engines, sometimes just the intake side is removed as that is where detonation occurs first)

 

Therefor, the upgrades in this package are not strictly to make more power, but also to make reliable power.  Do it once, do it right definitely applies to engines.  The liability of a part failure is enormous, and based on our solid experience building these platforms we don't want anyone taking the risk.

-Intake ports will intentionally have a slightly rough surface finish to promote fuel retention and better transient response.

-Milling of lifter bore for high lift cams

-Honing lifter bore to promote oil retention

-Oversize valve machining

-Oversize Supertech Valves

-5 Angle Valve Job
