The 1JZ/2JZ-GTE has many options for oil filters. The aftermarket has developed a vast selection. The truth is that most of these filters were designed to be installed on your every day grocery getter, and they didn't have the high performance enthusiast in mind. You should install a high quality OEM filter on your 1JZ/2JZ if you intend to keep it. The filter media inside it is superior to most of the aftermarket units of similar or greater value.
Please note:
For many years we have sold these filters under part number 90915-YZZG2. As of April 2 2023 we have run out of stock of the old G2 part number and have had to replace this listing with 90915-YZZD1. Toyota has discontinued the G2 and replaced it with the D1.
