Knock Sensor with Loom (KNSB)
The Link Knock Sensor with Loom is a non-resonant piezoelectric knock sensor supplied pre-wired with a 2.6 m loom and flying leads for fast, reliable installation. Designed to detect engine knock (detonation) by monitoring engine block vibrations, it transmits these vibrations as an electrical signal to a compatible ECU, allowing knock to be detected and engine calibration adjusted to help protect the engine while optimising performance.
Models Supported
- Link ECUs with knock detection capability
- Other aftermarket ECUs with compatible knock sensor inputs
- The pre-wired loom also makes it ideal for use with the Link KnockLink Visual Warning Light
Warnings
- Install directly onto a suitable flat surface on the engine block. Recommended tightening torque: 20 +/- 5 Nm. Correct mounting torque is critical for accurate knock detection. One or more sensors may be required depending on the engine and application.
